What Are Liquid Phase Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Vessels?

Liquid phase granular activated carbon vessels are steel pressure vessels loaded with GAC media that adsorbs dissolved contaminants as water is pumped through the bed. As the liquid stream passes through the carbon, organic compounds, pesticides, and other dissolved substances bind to the surface of the media instead of continuing downstream. Liquid GAC Vessel Process

Liquid phase granular activated carbon vessels are commonly used to treat contaminated water by filtering out dissolved organic compounds. The granular activated carbon media inside the vessel absorbs contaminants from the water as it's pumped through, leaving a cleaner effluent on the other side.
